Prince and Farah navigate and fight their way through the palace baths with Prince acquiring new, stronger sword in the process. By the time they leave the baths as Prince uses his newly acquired sword to smash through the weakened section of the wall, opening an detour into older, underground section of the palace, it's the early morning, with Prince and Farah eventually making their way into the palace's mess hall normally used by the soldiers which is directly adjecent to the outer drawbridge leading further into the palace. Knowing that they'll need to advance deeper inside to get to the Tower of Dawn, Prince proceeds to lower the drawbridge to allow himself and Farah an passage...
