Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy Walkthrough Part 3: Unfinished Business (Barrett 1st Boss Fight)
As they arrive to The Movement's base in the Black Sea, Scryer and Sara split up, with Sara, still infiltrated into the organization, easily entering from the front while Scryer infiltrates and sees Edgar Barrett, defected Mindgate operative specializing in telekinesis, carrying an mysterious crate off the VTOL that carried them there. After meeting up with Sara, Scryer finds out that the entire compound is ran by Barrett and that he is General's second-in-command, also discovering that General himself is actually an defected Mindgate officer and unit's former commander who, unlike people under his command, has no psychic powers of his own and then being provided with the keycard needed to access the compound's communications room where he can contact Mindgate HQ. However, as he gets there, Nick finds out that Mindgate HQ isn't responding, meaning that the organization is either gone or cut off by The Movement's assault with the broadcast from HQ playing an single directive to any agent listening; Secure something known as Luna-1. As he presses on, Scryer makes it into Barrett's personal office, Scryer finds Sara opening an small vault within and retrieving an small artifact which Scryer identifies as Luna-1, although neither he nor Sara are sure of its true purpose, save for the fact that Barrett had been experimenting on it for General. Despite Mindgate being unable to assist them, Sara remains intent on stopping The Movement as she has an personal stake in the mission; Her twin sister, who was also Mindgate operative, willingly defected to The Movement with Sara planning to find her. As he progresses deeper into the facility, Nick regains his ability to telepathically control others' minds, allowing him to progress into the heart of the compound where he sees General and Barrett talking, with General heading off to Hong Kong while leaving Barrett to secure Luna-1, confirming that the group is aware that it was taken by Scryer and Sara. As he heads off to follow after Barrett, Scryer once again runs into Sara who seems more flirtatious than before and manages to persuade him to give her Luna-1 as he goes after Barrett. Scryer proceeds to fight his way into the compound's trainyard and adjoining factory where he eventually finds Barett. In the ensuing confrontation, Barrett, who still respects Scryer's abilities, having trained him a decade prior, tries to persuade him to join The Movement, with situation growing even worse as Sara appears, apparently double-crossing Scryer and escaping with Luna-1. With Scryer refusing Barrett's offer, two engage in an fight that eventually moves outside into the trainyard with Nick being able to hold his own against Barrett despite his recently reawakened teleknetic abilities being far weaker than Barrett's. Regardless, Barrett gains an upper hand and immobilizes Nick, telling him that his offer for him to join The Movement still stands before knocking him out. By the time Nick regains consciousness, Barrett and General have already left, while Nick manages to hijack the helicopter and fly off to Hong Kong, leaving Sara behind...
