Programming in BASIC on the Color Computer Chapter 11 example program using String Manipulation
9So we just got done going through chapter 10 and looking at string manipulation using LEFT$ MID$ and RIGHT$ and it was fun and interesting, but I wanted to come up with a custom little program to further illustrate the concepts in a different way.
So I came up with the idea for this program to prompt you for your first, middle, and last name, input them as separate strings, and then manipulate those strings, to tell you your full name, calculate the length of your full name, and even show you variations of your name, by trimming the strings and doing things like showing your your middle initial, or all 3 of your initials.
A little applied learning to the concepts we just discussed, I hope you find it interesting and possibly even educational.
