As we continue on our journey of learning Color BASIC for the Radio Shack Color Computer, we are now on chapter 12, and we have created a cute little game that allows us to answer a math question before we run out of time.

This introduces us to a new command called INKEY$ which scans the keyboard for a key to be pressed IN, and then it assigns that key to a String variable.

You can use the string variable in a number of ways, either by compounding the keys input into a new string, or by using another new command, VAL() which converts a string variable into a numeric one by picking the VALue of what character was pressed. This really only works with the keyboard characters 0 through 9, if you press any other key, the VALue will always return zero.

It's a cute fun game of "Math beat the clock" and help illustrate some new concepts in a fun way.
