Custom Color Computer graphics in BASIC - part 1
6As we continue our series on programming in BASIC on the Color Computer, from time to time, I'll break away from the book, and try and come up with a way to put these concepts to good use, and I thought this was a great time to put together all the graphics commands we learned so far into a graphical demonstration.
So, from scratch, we'll write this program to generate random graphics on the screen using our current graphical vocabulary.
We will use the screen command to change between graphical and textual screens, as well as change the color modes of each.
We'll use the PMODE and PCLS command to set various graphical modes, and clear those screens.
We'll use the PSET command to set random pixels on the screen.
Well use the LINE command to generate random lines, empty boxes and solid boxes.
And, we'll continue to loop around and do this forever until we break out of the program.
This will be graphics demo 1.0, and as we learn more graphics commands, we'll add on to the demo.
