0Protoslayer is a mod for Doom II created by Clint "Volasaurus" Kelly, set up as an extension of the OG game's story, while also having its own take on the tie-in with the modern Doom duology, about the marine becoming a demigod. It adds a new class, adds new monsters and also changes up the vanilla line-up and gives you two episodes to play through. Do not play these new episodes with the classic marine class, they were not designed for it. Played on Proto-Ultra-Violence.
The mod also adds two new difficulties, which are more-so new game modes, Boner Mode is literally a meme, only skeleton enemies and flamethrowers, while Protoslaughter is more of a roguelite, where everything is randomized when it comes to enemy and item spawns.
The script, that is meant to return the music to its default volume after the PDA is finished is broken, the music stays quiet for the rest of the level. Also, good lord, the alt fires on the super shotgun and plasma rifle ******* overpowered, especially when you pick up the Doomsphere.
