I've been waiting for a game like ARK to come around for what seems like forever. I've spent hundreds of hours watching the likes of Mr Blackout, Frankieonpc, JackFrags and the like playing Day-z, and have pined for those kind of social interactions, and morale dilemmas that only these type of games can throw up.
I had my first real one last night as I was just checking out a server. And it ranks as one of my most satisfying moments in my thirty years gaming. For sure.
