The next-gen consoles are right around the corner. The launch of Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X and S will mark the beginning of a new generation. In this video, I discuss everything we know so far, including Microsoft's recent acquisiton for Bethesda's as well as the controversies surrounding PS5 game prices and games like Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man Miles Morales coming to PS4 as well. Interestingly, these recent announcements characterize the fundamentally different strategies that the two platform holders are taking. Xbox is focused on game pass and offering the content needed to entice people to join in, while PlayStation remains focused on its classic formula of making great games, selling them for high prices, and providing them where they think they're best served. The real question is, which strategy will prove the winning one in the end?
