PSP Capture Test 3
We're still around. We've just been playing some games lately from start to finish. In the meantime, our upscaler arrived a lot sooner than expected. While we can't use it at its full potential right now (because the device needed to use it to its full potential right now is pretty expensive), we were able to upscale it as-is. It looks quite nice, all things considered. For those curious, the upscaler in question is known as an LKV8000, which is being distributed these days by a number of resellers and distributors. It allows you to play PSP games on your TV upscaled to a sharp 720p without any notable lose in quality through an HDMI cable, but in order to capture through it with superior quality, you'd need something like the Matrox MXO2 Mini (Roughly $450) or the Matrox MXO2 Mini Max (Roughly $850). For now, I'm using the registered version of Media Converter 7 to utilize its SimHD feature (I immediately noticed the difference with and without it-- SimHD was much better). Otherwise, there isn't much in particular going on.
