I have a ton of games in my backlog that I've either never played or played very little. So I thought it might be fun to sample semi-random games and upload them so everyone can see how terrible I am at them!

So here we have a game called Pulse Racer for the Xbox. It was developed and published by Jaleco in North America in 2003. I had heard lots of bad things about this game, so I wanted to give it a shot for myself. It's not the worst game I've ever played, but it's not a very good one. The main issues I had with the game are that the controls seemed odd, the framerate seemed flaky, and the handful of tracks I raced on all looked the same. Based on what I saw on the menus, it looked like you can generate new tracks, which is somewhat interesting, but I didn't play around with it at all. Overall, I'm not sure it's quite as bad as the 24 MetaCritic score it currently holds, but it's not something I plan to revisit anytime soon. I captured this video on an original Xbox.
