S.C.A.R.S. N64 Gameplay [No Commentary]
26I have a ton of games in my backlog that I've either never played or played very little. So I thought it might be fun to sample semi-random games and upload them so everyone can see how terrible I am at them!
So here we have a game called S.C.A.R.S. for the Nintendo 64. It was developed by Vivid Image and published in North America by Ubi Soft in 1998. I originally bought this game back in the late '90s and played it for a while, but like many of my games in the high school days, it was traded in for something else at some point. Well, I finally picked it up again and decided to give it a whirl after 15 or so years. I still find the game to be rather fun, the only problem is there are other similar games from this era (namely Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing) that are just better. One thing that has always stood out is the different cars, all of which are based on animals. This concept still seems kinda neat to me, so even if the gameplay isn't amazing, I'm still zipping around in a shark car! I also liked the music quite a bit, though I must admit I'm a sucker for N64-era music. Overall, this isn't a bad game to pick up, if you can find it nice and cheap, just don't go in expecting something on the level of Mario Kart 64. I captured this video on an Nintendo 64.
