This month we have pleasure of hearing from Ohad Levy, The author of Foreman, Dominic Cleal who is one of the lead developers of Foreman, and Justin Sherrill the development lead for Katello.

They will be demonstrating and reviewing the latest release of Foreman (1.5). Foreman is the leading community-developed ENC and provisioning engine for Puppet. (Cloud hosts, virtual hosts and bare metal hosts)

They will be demonstrating Foreman, and providing an overview of major features of Foreman, including ENC support for Parameterized Classes, Puppet 3.5 support, improved roles, support for locations and organizations, improved VMWare support, Rackspace provisioning, and trending graphs.

They will also discuss the Foreman development roadmap, and how it is being integrated with the related Katello project, which will also be demoed.

Katello is a systems life cycle management plugin to Foreman, that aids in system lifecycle management. Katello can pull content from remote repositories into isolated environments, and makes patch subscription management a breeze. Justin will be demonstrating the software content management capabilities of Katello including customization and patch management through lifecycle environments.
