In the second episode of my return to Classic WoW, I decide to restart with a new character to be able to use the Hardcore Addon everyone is so crazy about. This format is the same as my older permadeath 1-60 rulesets: no use of the auction house, mailbox, interacting with players, grouping, etc. It is an immersive single player experience in which I will read all the quest text and really appreciate the Horde perspective, as I've rarely played as part of it.
Additionally, I decided to continue my habit of creating my own 'dynamic' quests: for example in this episode, I resolve that I must fish in every body of water I find.
Lastly, there are a few nuances to my class I chose to add at the last minute, because after all, if I'm not combining several formats together to create a truly wild hard mode experience, it wouldn't be my playthrough!
I'm basically a Warcraft Pokémon trainer... I am not allowed to use ranged weapons of any kind, thus will lean on my pet heavily. However, this comes at a price: if my pet dies, they are gone forever, and furthermore, I can never get another pet of that type again (i.e. if it's a raptor, no more raptors).
