I'm not going out so I play DCS often. The simulation improves my well-being. Just finished a combat PvE sortie in the F-16C Block 50 Viper again. I destroyed two T-55A tanks and I downed an enemy MiG-23MLD Flogger as well, all in a single sortie. Cold starting the plane, taking off, employing the weapon and sensor systems, and landing, ALL OF THEM feel very rewarding since it takes a certain level of mastery (or dedication) to accomplish.

It took me three AIM-120C5 AMRAAM missiles to down the MiG-23MLD Flogger. The first missile hit it and it was spewing white smoke. I thought that was the end of it but when I followed it, it kept on flying near the deck instead of crashing. I fired the second missile and it defeated it, so I fired my third AMRAAM and this time, the Flogger caught fire and careened towards the ground. I saw no chute. There were two MiG-23MLDs flying in close formation actually and I tried attacking them simultaneously, so I switched from Range While Scan mode to Track While Scan mode to attack both at the same time or four...but my radar couldn't get any lock. I had no radar return in either RWS or TWS mode. One of the Floggers went separate ways and downed a player "Menace" in his F/A-18C Hornet nearby with R-60 Aphid missile before being downed by "Spectre342" in his F-16C Block 50, also nearby.
