One Against a Multitude, F-16C Block 50 in TNI-AU Scheme (Tomcat PvP Kill), DCS
An F-16C Block 50 in the Indonesian TNI-AU Viper color scheme bagging a player-flown F-14B on a PvP server BUT the server glitched out. The server said I, a Red player (777), killed Blue player 777 and I, the Red player 777, also died. I landed safely at base and the server was restarting in five minutes prior soon after touching down so I quickly shut down the aircraft.
I think the Blue player I downed was SEABASS and he was an inexperienced F-14B Tomcat pilot. He fired a Phoenix missile at me when I was still out of the missile's effective reach. I was like, "That didn't make sense. Why would a Tomcat fire his Pheonix while I was more than 70 miles away from him?" I could know the range since I saw the nearest hostile aircraft on the data link was more than 70 miles away OR he fired a Phoneix at the sole friendly (Red) fighter in the frontline away from me which I think he did, I didn't realize there was a friendly aircraft in the distant ('lumnuts'). I transcended the Tomcat fired at a friendly aircraft but I could not see any other Red plane but me and the AI AWACS then on the map. In this match, I was alone in the air as Red aircraft facing a multitude of Blue aircraft. Well, I had another Red fighter but he was far from me, and he had been downed by the time I engaged the F-14B. He did kill two enemy fighters though. So, it was basically just me and the A-50 AWACS against more than half a dozen Blue fighter aircraft.
