Why this make sense. Well, this is a remake of a 1997 DOS game, in new engine... to run NATIVE in Windows 10-ish ... with Extreme Higher polygon count , new controls , resolutions , FOV slider and much much more ... https://www.gog.com/game/chasmtherift
So what is CHASM ... a Ukrainian Quake ... from a team that later made , wait for it ... Carnivores , yes that Dino Hunting game ... and Vivisector: Beast Within that horror FPS inspired by "The Island of Doctor Moreau" crappy game and ... theirs Swan Song , pure excellent game from 2008 Cryostasis !!!
Too bad the Dev studio "Action Forms Ltd." due to the way things are now ... are dormant ... :/
By the way the 2022 Windows release is not a remaster but built up completely from the ground, using reverse engineering and by-sight recreation, as the original source code is lost. It also includes a custom tailored DOSBox port of the original game with the official add-on originally released as a patch on the developer's website.
