Quake 4 - Deathmatch Maps
0The game's multiplayer mode is played in its own "mod" directory from base Quake 4, mainly due to how differently it plays than the campaign.
Quake 4's multiplayer itself is really just an arena shooter like its predecessor. However, many people considered it inferior to Quake 3's multiplayer. But, I like this one. It really shows how you can make an arena shooter game with more modern graphics. Though, the only problem I have is the inability to change the Quad Damage factor here, so it's stuck at 3x damage unlike in Quake 3, where you could change it. C'mon, guys. This is the fourth game. Give us actual quadruple power here, not the Quake III Power for triple damage.
The game was originally released with 5 gametypes; Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Tournament, Capture the Flag, and Arena CTF. I play the original 8 maps (well, techincally 9) that were included the game at its original release. Of course, I will go through the other maps in other videos.
