Quake (Hard Playthrough) [PC] - E2M7: The Underearth
This map, like the rest of the secret levels, has no gimmicks. It has some 'Easter Egg' that I don't find*, but there's nothing that fucks with the gameplay, unlike a certain E1M8...
ANYWAY.
There's really not much to go on about here. It's the traditional run-around-and-shoot-evil-knights, while on a quest to find the bear in the cave holding the magic key to the castle where the princess is held captive and awaiting extr-... uh.
Well the key bit's true. So's the (Death) Knights. The rest is bollocks.
*Shooting all the Demon face textures opens a door down the corridor with the Death Knights hiding in the shadows at the sides. I was going to get this, but my 'phone decided to spring to life and start ringing while I was looking for wallfaces to shoot, distracting me, and as such I walk straight past a couple of the textures without even realising.
I would have gone back to shoot them, but there's nothing in this secret room except for some symbol that means absolutely fuck-all as far as Quake's concerned; it's just some nonsense that Tim Willits threw in for a laugh as a reference to his and Theresa Chasar's (his sister -- not the Doom 3 character) Doom maps.
