Oh my god. I ran long today because I just wanted this to be over. And it finally, finally is. And I hated it. I hated almost everything about it. Here and there are a few decent points in it, but nothing, NOTHING that make this expansion actually worth playing. It is pain, all the way through. And I discussed at length why.

No care was taken to balance. The weapons not being bound to anything by default makes them very frustrating. The level design is confusing in places, and has a fair bit of back and forth. The turrets... oh god, the turrets. Massively overpowered for their role. And, being Quake II, since you have inventory available, the end boss becomes trivial.
