Doing a single-session game today, some impressions, because I couldn't put my previous replay of Toonstruck on YouTube. So let's take a look at a digital version of a card game!

Sentinels of the Multiverse. Honestly? I really like this game. I love the way it's designed, I love the way it's set up, I like the digital version here, and I honestly think that this is a great way to design a monetize games. Yea, it's one where the core game is fairly cheap, and it has a lot of expansions, big and small. And I'm OK with this. The game is designed around various self-contained decks. So why not be able to make, and sell, more decks? Even in the physical copies, it's a great deal. All you really need is a villain, some heroes, and an environment to be able to play. So you could buy the core game, or an expansion that has those, or mix and match (digital does require the core game, obviously). From a game design perspective, it's brilliant, a way to keep monetizing the game without having to reinvent the wheel.
