Quake II RTX Gameplay -No Commentary-
2I remember when I first saw Quake 2 RTX running in a video, and I was blown away at how good it made the game look. Quake 2 RTX takes the same Quake 2 I love, and updates it with shiny new visuals and is a cool way to play through the entire game. You can download the Q2RTX demo for free, and if you own the Steam version of Quake 2, or a later physical version of the game that has some of the updates and etc on it, you can run the entire game in the new shiny RTX Mode. My Retail CD version of the game doesn't work with it. There was some update it needed that I could swear I had, but alas, I could not get my 1997 CD version to run.
As for the Music, I took that retail CD version of Quake 2 I own, ripped the music to my hard drive, and put it in the background of this footage during editing. There are ways to get the soundtrack to work in the Steam version of Quake II, but I didn't do that here. The best I could do was edit in the songs myself after playing the footage.
