This map was originally made for the rare arcade version of the game, Quake Arcade Tournament Edition, being one of the available levels to play on in deathmatch. The map was later uploaded to the id Software FTP by Tim Willits for fans to play on the PC version with some teleporters added. The map itself is-you guessed it-a conversion of the popular Quake 2 deathmatch map, The Edge. This map was also later made available in the 2021 remaster of Quake, which is numbered "DM7" in that version. Yep, it completely overtook the original DM7 (Acrophobia) which is now DM8 in there.
