I have been using the OSSC 1.6 with firmware 0.81 for a while now. I use it to capture video footage from my 286 PC and now also from my SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive 2. It is so far the best (somewhat) affordable solution. All cheap scan converters so far had problems with legacy DOS video modes and had no options to tweak the timings.
