I keep a news camera in my car (well, the XF605, close enough), are you surprised? You shouldn't be, I live in the midwest. If you're a video nerd in the midwest, you gotta keep either a news camera or a cinema camera (or, if you're bad with money like me, both) in your car. The corn demands it of you. It's like a contractual obligation, except it runs deeper. There's something deeply primal about it, I don't fucking know.

Had to mute the audio because my dumb ass was listening to Megadeth on the drive home. I dunno, Dave seems like he'd be cool with his material being enjoyed by a long-haired freaky people like myself, but the labels he's been with over the decades might bust my kneecaps if I play their music for broadcast on (proverbial) open airwaves (which is kind of ironic if you look into what Megadeth has historically been on about). For work reasons, I kind of need my kneecaps to stick around for a little bit.

So, I was attempting to get some footage of slippery roads and me generally being a danger to myself (my tires are not snow tires, they're AT LEAST two years old at this point, and the 2014 Dodge Avenger I'm rocking only has front wheel drag), but the roads were all cleared. I wondered how that managed to happen given Council Bluffs' historic ability to NOT clear anything other than artery roads, but then, well, I came across this while zooming down Broadway/Kanesville Boulevard.

Oh, by the way, guess what happened literally 12 hours after I recorded this.. Yep, more snow.

WOOOOO, bumper cars (you're still missed, Elliot).
