R-Type Final 2 No Miss R-Typer 3 on Score Attack
11I had to do this. This was the only way I could finish the video set, so here it is, R-Typer 3. I played an original course on Score Attack so I could play stages that were more manageable for me, as some of the stages in the main game are too difficult. Still - I did it, and I'm happy with this. I played on Score Attack for days practicing stages until I could do it.

Notes:
Stage 1.0 - I always use the Leo II here so that I can pick up the Bit and get fully armed. The Leo and Leo II only need to grab one Bit icon to get both Bits, and then the rest of the ships you play with will have both.
Stage X4.0 - this boss has RNG, which makes it a pain, but the stage is short. I always use a ship with a homing Force, like the Tentacle or Rodless Force to kill it and all the guns on the battleship.
Stage X5.0 - I seriously meant to go red and then blue. When I accidentally shot the blue door first, I thought "well, I'm screwed now," but I kept on and I got it anyway. Negus O Shim is easiest in my opinion in the swamp, because its pods are easier to kill.
Stage Y3.0 - I had such a hard time with this stage when I was doing the Ship Showcase with Cerberus, so I wanted vengeance, and used the Charon here. It was remarkably easy after all my practice in the summer.
Stage X3.0 - I love R-Type Delta, and this stage is no exception. I like using the Albatross as a throwback to that game. Also, the Tentacle Force is highly defensible, and I wasn't taking any chances with this playthrough.
Stage 6.2 - when the Tablocks show up, I used to try to kill them all. Two waves will spawn, but if you kill them slower, they won't all show up, so I tried to hold back a little bit. I was most afraid of the Outslay snake because of all the bullets it fires, but I pulled through every time in practicing, so it was just psychological on my part.
Stage 7.2 - I love this stage as a Bydo stage. I love that you're not the only R-Type in this stage, as you see a couple of Concert Masters fly by at the beginning. I used the Ragnarok II so I could make up for not shooting a fully charged Giga Wave Cannon in the Ship Showcase. You can see how I used it twice in this stage. Killing the wave of Bydo System Alphas is rough under the best of circumstances, so I wiped them out with a fully charged Wave Cannon shot. The Obsidian Pupil suffered the same fate, because I wasn't messing around here.
