Racecraft is a game with very grand designs - it wants to be the ultimate sandbox racer with an infinite number of tracks that can be generated and the aim to become the first major eSports racing game. The future game hopes to offer building cars from scratch, VR capability and the scope for an entire multiplayer racing team of managers, designers and drivers.

In this Racecraft gameplay video we look at the tech demo (which is currently freely available via Steam key by signing up to the newsletter on their site). We play three fresh tracks, which (as luck has it) get progressively trickier.
The mode we play is one where you get a single bot to race against for a lap, but there's also a mode where you can race your own ghost, and a hot lap time trial mode.
The demo can be played using keyboard or controller.

Official game description:
"Racecraft is the new racing experience by Vae Victis Games, a sandbox driving game based on procedural technology, where you can create an endless number of realistic racetracks and craft your car to achieve the best performances in all the races and events.
A proprietary procedural engine, called Camilla, generates an endless number of tracks. They can be saved and shared, producing lots of different racing situations.
Players can craft the car from scratch using (and crafting) all the different parts to generate many different sets of physical features and car setups. Players will also be able to craft their own tracks with a track editor using the same logics of the Camilla procedural engine.
Racecraft has been developed with VR in mind. The driving menu allows interaction with the cars during the races without losing focus. The entire game UI is usable without taking your hands off the wheel or joypad.
There will be different roles in the multiplayer mode of Racecraft. A team will be composed by several cooperative roles: driver, team manager, track engineer, mechanic, car designer and many others.
