♫Rachmaninov - Prelude in E Flat Op.23 No.6♫
Here's another favourite Rach prelude of mine. I made a recording of this a long time ago, and now this improved version shall replace it. ;) Obviously, hitting the right notes in this masterpiece isn't very difficult. The challenge here is voicing (particularly from 2:00 onwards). I hope I have done a satisfactory job with that.
So... From all that bright Disney to some dark Rachmaninov. What a contrast eh? And I've always loved that creepy LH accompaniment btw. :D
Random fact: I was actually learning this piece along with the Rach G Sharp Minor prelude (https://youtu.be/4rlDnNo-cDQ) in preparation for the ABRSM diploma exam a long time ago. I didn't take it in the end.
