Mission Event: March 16, 1966

An essential piece of the Apollo Lunar Strategy, NASA needed to prove that two vehicles could dock together and remain stable. Two rookie astronauts, destined for Lunar greatness, were set to tackle this objective in the mission of Gemini VIII, and would find themselves hovering close to death in the process.

Background tracks are from Descent: Freespace, released for the PC by Interplay and Volition in 1998.

If you have any questions or comments, please keep them relevant. This program is intended to celebrate the legacy of the fine men and women who gave their lives in the great odyssey of manned spaceflight. Troll posts and hoax theorists will be immediately deleted.
