Railroader - 2/1/24 - RTS MP Day 24/25 - Big Time Purchasing
7Night has fallen on the end of Day 24. #52 is heading towards it's pickup at East Whittier where it will then head directly to Sylva Interchange. #1 still needed service so I finish that off with #3 at Alarka and head to Alarka Jct.
#2 continues to work the Sawmill.
As everyone comes aboard later in the session I continue to focus on #52 and getting it in the yard. Meanwhile #41 has some cars ready to move at Sylva and #1 finishes dropping off it's empty coal cars. The result is an impressive stash of cash that gets us out of debt by midnight.
As daylight arrives a massive loan is taken out to maximize on the 5 day loan cycle that begins today. It turns out payments are made every 5 days and Day 25 was one of them. This allows us to make quite a bit of needed purchases. Among them more passenger cars, another observation car, pulpwood flats, an SW1 to replace the mine power, and a low end Pacific to assist in what is expected to be 3 passenger services running on an ongoing basis.
