Rain World Gameplay 1 Part 15 - The Five Pebbles
What started as a very frustrating run where I made little to no progress, ended as major step towards the completion of the game. I couldn't explore the Underhang area of The Exterior as thoroughly as I wanted, but I stumbled with another region called "Five Pebbles". It seems to be a crashed spaceship or an alien installation, that apparently works like the Depths, as the Rain didn't hit when I was sure that I ran out of time. Unlike the Depths, though, there ARE Shelters to save the progress made, and there are many of these Mutant Octopuses (for what I saw around, their name is "Daddy Long Legs") that easily catch the Slugcat, since the area is also a Zero Gravity Environment. Float into the wrong direction and go straight against one of those creatures.
I couldn't explore completely the Five Pebbles region because I couldn't maneuver properly where those Octopuses were, as well as touching the Transform Arrays placed in some rooms instantly kill the Slugcat. Nevertheless, I managed to find the following areas during my exploration: the main area, the "Unfortunate Development", the "Recursive Transform Array", the "Memory Conflux" and the "General Systems Bus". In that last sector, there is another Alien Robot that unlocked the remaining Survival Symbols and gave the mission to go west, beyond the Farm Arrays, and then deep into the ground. This also unlocked the achievement "The Journey".
Now, I'm ready to return to the Depths and beat the game, but I'm wondering if I rather keep going with the exploration and spend the Wanderer Passage to spawn in the Filtration System, and go all-in and dive into the Depths again.
Let's see what it's going to be.
