Episode 10 - Banking House

This is the tenth episode of our SEVEN player co-op Let's Play of Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. In this series we will be playing through the main campaign and expansions of Rainbow Six 3, a 2003 PC game developed by Red Storm Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.

Wow, what a mission. Not only did this one take us the most cumulative attempts to beat (somewhere around 70 I would estimate), we also added TWO more people to our roster. Austin and Randall decided to join up, bringing our team total to 7. That's actually one less than the game actually supports on co-op. Never thought I'd see the day we had this many people playing a single co-op game.

Regardless of the added firepower, though, we still had a hell of a time beating this level. Not only were the entrances to the bank terrible for cover, but there were at least three places where we could trigger the terrorists to end the level. The first was with the hostage in the center of the bank, the second was the financial records on the second floor, and third was the hostages being held in the vaults in the basement.

Saving the financial records was perhaps the worst. You can see the tactics were we forced to adapt in order to prevent them from destroying them. Despite losing three men in the process, our attempt to save the financial records this time around was perhaps our best run, therefore making it our winning round.

But Jesus, don't even get me started on those entrances. The front door isn't a cake walk, but it's much better compared to the side door which opens to a hallway with bad guys on either side, and the back door that's guarded by a sniper and ton of guys inside. If anything, this video really demonstrates the level of strategy we were forced to adapt in order to finally beat this level.

The levels started going much quicker after this though! Get ready for some quick missions soon enough.
