I have never had to think about hammerless IP routing before, lol.
Surprised I came out with a sub-2 time for what seemed like a pretty trolly seed. Early on you did all of the obvious stuff (death mountain, EP) and ended up getting blocked because Agina was holding Moon Pearl. At least he wasn't hiding the lamp, which would mean Aga1 was required...
The first foray into the dark world (SW, TT, hype cave) turned out pretty much empty, so you needed to choose what to dip. PoD was an obvious answer, and you could swing by Catfish and Pyramid Ledge along the way, so I chose that. IP was actually an option too, though without hammer that seemed kind of suspect.
BUT, the seed had given you very early flipper and mitts, and bombos as well, so that was a very suspicious point in my mind. What if hammer was in the first chest of IP or something? Hell, how many chests are even in logic without hammer in IP? hhmmmm....
In hindsight, I should have actually just gone and done hookshot cave before doing all this, but I forgot about it since it wasn't in logic (no lamp, so DM technically not in logic)
Luckily, flute was in PoD, but nothing was at mire shed and hookshot cave turned out with book and boots, but still no light source to full clear DP. I had no idea what to do here. I ended up actually following the hunch for IP, but uh....I admittedly have never had to route IP without the hammer before, so that didn't go super well. Thinking it through again, I think you have to take an entirely different route -- don't do icebreaker, go LEFT first and check ice t chest, then afterwards go and check the right side. confusing.....anyways, I ended up triple-dipping IP this seed because of being unfamiliar with that situation. IP ended up having a shovel, but that lead nowhere, so none of this paid off at all for me. Booooo.
Fire rod was at smithy, so that let you clear DP, but you ended up having to do mirrorless purple chest in order to get hammer, which basically "solved" the seed. At least you had flute, I guess....sigh.
