It's funny, because LAST week I had a hunch about IP being open early because of early flips and titan's mitts, and I went in there early and it totally didn't pay off. This time I was like, nah, better do PoD and other overworld stuff first before I do that, and of course the hammer is in there...the me from last week would have did way better on this seed.
Barely squeaking by with a sub-2, I lost a chunk of time because I started GT climb without magic and didn't end up having enough to light the torches with only fire rod. Today's lesson: There are small magic pots in the very first room with the mimics and crystal switches when you start to climb up. Grab them if you are low on magic.
Never found the lamp (apparently in cave 45?) and also I skipped TR big chest, so no lamp and no boots for the entire run. Dark room strats were not particularly hard here (minus TR, but you can get that one down with some practice) and helped a lot. Go mode was finding the mirror.
