It's been a few months since I endeavoured the RAMP2023 playthrough thing. Let us continue our journey. That is to say.. let's sort of do it again because of technical difficulties. No worries though, I'm a professional!
Thoughts:
- MAP 218 - QUARTERS by Artinum
A mostly fun little map with a few nice monster surprises. The red maze was a little too confusing to navigate though and the final room was a bit of a chore having to dance around between lots of enemies and two big dudes with only small ledges to manoeuvre on. Got short on ammo and also missed getting the rocket launcher earlier so that didn't make things easier. I won't deny that my aim was horrible at times as well, lol. Ended up cheating, but oh well.
- MAP 002 - The Beast Of Doom - out of time limited demo by Amiga Angel and CBM
This demo is indeed more of a demo than a properly finished map. Yet there are some fun and creative gimmicks to encounter that made me chuckle a bit. So this one is just for fun. And science! And it seems somewhat fitting to play right after all the save shenanigans.

"RAMP 2023 is the third edition of the Rabbit's All-comers Mapping Project! Like the others before it, it's a compilation of maps submitted by members of the Doom community, both new and old. The game is centered around a hub level, with completion of the submitted maps allowing players to progress in the hub. This was an event to encourage people from inside and outside the community to dip into Doom/GZDoom mapping and to give them the chance to be part of a wider project.
