Though underrepresented, there are some African characters (and in this case Egyptian characters) in video games. One of the best genres to find these black video game characters is in the fighting game genre due to their tendency to be more diverse than other games. So today we'll be ranking every fighting game character from Egypt and on the next episode we will do a tier list for the characters from Sub-Saharan Africa. As for why Egypt has so much more representation, well it's because Egypt tends to be the most well known of African countries around the world. We definitely need more African characters in video games and even black characters in games in general and hopefully this list will help highlight that disparity.

Today we got characters from many FGC games such as Capcom's Street Fighter, Tekken, Skull Girls, Dark Stalkers, and ARMS. Plus there's obscure games like King of the Monsters (which is probably a pun on King of the Fighters, also made by SNK), Eternal Champions, War Gods, Breaker's Revenge and more. We'll rank them all.
