Proverbs from Africa - Pride #Shorts
We cite an African Proverb and then discuss what it means.
Here on the Red Spirit Mask channel we teach all about African art, history, culture and more. Proverbs are an important part of African culture. The proverb of this video is the following:
"A proud heart can survive a general failure because such a failure does not prick its pride."
Additionally, we have a lovely old painting of a proud African woman featured in the video. This painting was made by Norman H. Hardy with title of, Kabinda Lady: West Africa. It comes from the book, Women of All Nations, a Record of Their Characteristics, Habits, Manners, Customs and Influence. It of course features African women but also women from all around the world and on that note its worth mentioning that on our channel we like to occasionally teach about other artworks, histories, and cultures from around the globe. So if you want to learn more about Africa and other parts of the world than be sure to subscribe to our educational channel.
