Ratchet & Clank - Death By Disco on First Playthrough (FINAL BOSS SPOILER, *NOT A HOW-TO*)
First off, I want to stress that this is NOT a How-To video. It is merely a Proof-Of-Concept.
*Upon further thought, I thought it might be best to list the quickest way to get the Groovitron. After rescuing the Mayor on Novalis, he gives you an Infobot for Aridia. Once you rescue Skidd and his Agent, you get an Infobot for Rilgar. You can buy the Groovitron on Rilgar, and thus you have it before even going to Kerwan.*
I was under the impression that you literally could not get this on your first playthrough. Yet, somehow I did. As soon as the Groovitron was available for purchase, I bought it and proceeded to use it in almost every enemy encounter. I went out of my way to backtrack to previous planets and Groovitron any enemies that would still respawn. (I'm looking at you, Horned Toad on Veldin, and especially the Robot Bird (Peckbot) and Yellow Grenade Launcher Robot from Novalis.) I even used it on all of the NPCs that I could. (Although, that was purely because I just wanted to see each character's dance. I have no idea if it had any bearing on the trophy.)
I was following the list by playstationtrophies.org user PowerPyx, and I'm pretty sure I did not get:
#3 - Veldin: Glowing Slug
#21 - Rilgar: Pool Shark (On Floor / Not Swimming)
#22 - Rilgar: Pool Shark (Swimming)
(Although, there is a chance I might have gotten one of the Pool Sharks on Pokitaru)
Despite that, the trophy still unlocked on Dr. Nefarious. Go figure.
*On a side note, I realize that my Groovitron is providing a very nice bonus to my RYNO's damage. (60%, to be precise)*
