Salt and Sanctuary - How To Kill The Unspeakable Deep
686You fight The Unspeakable Deep at the end of the Boat Sequence at the very beginning of the game. It does not reappear at any other point, and the Boat Sequence DOES NOT OCCUR when starting a New Game +. This is your only chance. If you fail, you will need to start the game with a new character and try again.
The rewards are quite nice if you are willing to get the job done. You get a free Black Pearl (used for unlocking skill nodes on the Skill Tree), a Drowned Tome (used for upgrading Kreaken weapons at a Blacksmith), a Shimmering Pearl (a transmutation material), and a LOT of Salt. Even more Salt if you choose, and have equipped, the Grasping Ring as a starting Effect. I had enough Salt to Level up 10 times at the first Sanctuary!
The Unspeakable Deep only has 3 moves, which are very easily predictable. It's up to you if you want to go for the nice loot at the start of the game or not. :D
