Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty Part 6: A Shade of Green
1So, after joining forces with Pete and exploring the caves, we came across the corpse of Darkwater who was just chilling in his chair and enjoying the breeze on his neck. As you might imagine, we ended up getting betrayed (not like we didn’t really see this coming since he did shoot us out of a cannon at the beginning of this game) but, what I found to be weird is that he combined Slag’s head with Darkwater’s body. What I’m wondering is why Pete went through all the trouble of finding Darkwater’s body if he could just throw it on any old robot’s body (Why Darkwater’s specifically). On top of that, it turns out that a portion of Darkwater is still alive within his body (they did mention that he had cursed himself to protect his Fulcrum Star). Still not sure how you can curse a robot (I mean, all you would need is for the piece of him that stores his memories/personality like Slag and then you could repair/rebuild it, right?) but, then again, I am a space creature that is trying to mess around with space and time in the next game so, I shouldn’t really complain too much. Regardless of that, the Space Zombie Pirates start trying to attack the beach and we have to defend them off. The only real complaint I have with the zombie pirate things is that, every single time they come on screen, there is always this odd green shade that covers the screen and it looks so weird. I’m assuming that it’s to show that these are ghosts/zombies rather than just regular pirates but it looks weird and hazy. The slight glow around the enemies would probably be enough to show that off, I don’t think you have to go to the extent of making the entire screen this hazy green lighting.
