Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty Part 5: Prepare for Trouble and Make It Double
0So, after restarting their machines, the mayor showed off a telescope that was once owned by Darkwater (the pirate we were looking for) and tells us that it was his way of communicating with the Zoni. Unfortunately, it required a Fulcrum Start to be powered up which, coincidently, Rusty Pete just so happens to know where one is. Now, I understand that we really need it to find our way to Clank but I still don’t understand why we trusted Pete even in the slightest. I mean, come one, HE SHOT US OUT OF A CANNON AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS GAME. Regardless of how little I trust this pirate, we do need the Fulcrum Star to find where Clank is so, we had left to start exploring a cave at the end of last video. We get to do more exploration and there is a neat little light mechanic that we get to utilize (The bat-like enemies will not attack you if you are carrying the little light-bugs which we get to carry like a torch). It’s a neat little level with some interesting paths and small puzzles. I do want to mention something that might be a minor spoiler though so, you have been warned; They have this monster that seems to be following you throughout the cave (complete with its own horror tropes; Creeping shadows, spooky music etc.) but it isn’t a boss, like I thought it was building up to, rather it turns into another enemy that we get to see throughout the cave.
