It happened two years after the collapse of the financial markets. Our world changed. While the more advanced countries managed to handle the situation, life in third world countries became even harder, even more unsafe. Local warlords built up their own little kingdoms and fought against each other for what they thought valuable, while the governments tried in vain to stabilize these conflicts. Brazil was an exception. There were signs of warlords building up their strength in the deep Amazonian jungle, but the country at large lived in relative peace. One day, however, a plane crashed in Amazonas State, and we were called in to rescue the survivors and find some precious data, which in the wrong hands, could become extremely perilous to national security.
