After over 5 years, i decided to re-publish my old video about the FarCry 5 Mars DLC.

Back then everything, including the video, the created map and world, as well as the whole Mars Mod project got taken down by official requests.

In that time, the game itself, FarCry 5, just got released, and the 3 DLCs only got freshly announced. However, some of you know, I started my coding career back in FarCry 2 times where started to create tools for modding the game.

This knowledge expanded over the years and the multiple game releases the series had. It came that far, that I got invited to Montreal, had pre-access to the FarCry 5 Editor and helped designing it - you can even see me in the official map editor trailer uploaded by Ubisoft. 👀

I used this knowledge to directly reverse engineer the game and its map editor to create and implement more and new objects, settings, and more. Through out this task, after not even a full week done, i have found a way to load all DLC objects, worlds, and more, directly within the map editor - whitout the DLC even being released.

Of course i took the opportunity to add all of the objects, monsters and weapons, as well as effects, skyboxes, etc, and allow all players to create their own Mars DLC in the map editor ..... obviously, Ubisoft didnt like it as much, and requested me to not delete the stuff, but to not make it public accessible.

Anyways, I never wanted to hurt Ubisoft, so i never published it again - however, now with the small leak of the upcoming FarCry 7 game, i decided to also publish my years old held back trailer.
