First and foremost will be the competition At similar price we have Redmi note 3 and le 2 which offer better CPU performance along with an additional Ir blaster If you play lot of games, then you might have to rethink .
If we ignore the competition these are the reasons not to buy
First reason is that we don’t have gyroscope, We will hear lot about Vr, in the comming months, so no matter who you are, you will want to try it out. But you can't on this device. So no vr and no 360 degree videos, This is truly a bummer.
Next we have Cool ui,
A custom skin Ui, which tries too hard to copy IPhone. They even put the notification toggles at the bottom. This Is something I really hate, in this phone, and might be a reason for some. Functionality and features are good, but the Ui elements like the transparent notification bar, recent apps page and the notification toggles, spoiled the experience
No accidental protection like Mi Protect, xiomi phones have
I dropped my phone and broke the glass , If coolpad had something like Mi Protect, I could have got it fixed for free, new screen alone cost 6000rs
This is the one think I miss the most on all other brands
With all the good and bad,
I am still skeptical about the after sale support , I had horrible experience, with coolpad 6 months ago, and don’t know how it is doing now.
Since coolpad and LeEco have started collaborating, I hope, they can bring in better service in India.
