Well, this was it. With this and Emil's Determination done, there are no quests left. There's no levels left to gain; No Pod Programs to discover; No weapons left to find or upgrade; No pods left to find or upgrade; No archives, unit data, tutorials, weapon stories, picture books, fish, or novels left to find; No DLC arenas left to complete; No endings left to get.

While the ending music was for the quest itself, it really fit how I felt when I fully realized that. Sure I can replay the game at Lv1, but it's sad knowing that I've done everything that can be done, that there's nothing new left. It doesn't have to be new for me to enjoy it, but after spending so much time with this game, it's hard to say goodbye to... any aspect of it.

But there's still at least one more video I can put together for this series. So there's that.

As for this quest itself, though, it's... bittersweet. Hearing 4S saying that to 9S, but knowing what happens to 9S later... But it also gives us hope for the new future that follows Ending E. I just hope that 4S can hold it together, because we know what it feels like to be alone and without purpose or meaning. We experienced it all through 9S. The conversation between 4S and 9S holds a lot more weight when you know how the rest of the game goes.

It's almost like it was designed so you'd normally have the game completed by the time you finish this quest, though 9S' dialogue has him still sounding optimistic and motivated here. He hasn't yet fully lost the desire to carry on in the war effort.

...even if this war's been pointless to begin with...
