This scene took me a couple of weeks of on and off work and was one of the more challenging scenes I've had to put together mostly due to my computers limitations. This scene is actually something I hope to return to at some point in the future when I am able to get a new graphics card, UE5 fixes some of the lighting issues with foliage, and getting nanite support on foliage. Overall I'm still happy with how it came out but there are a few issues with the foliage lighting/frantic cloud rendering etc...

Been wanting to make this environment since I was about 12 years old so this one has been a long time coming! I used a combination of real life photographs, google maps, and real life heightmap data to make this location feel as authentic as possible. This hillside technically belonged to our neighbors and was used for both hay and cow grazing but we would spend a lot of time wandering the woods and sledding down it in the winter. The shot would have been filmed as if you were standing at the edge of my yard.
