It's been a while since I've done a video so I kind of wanted to go all out with this one. This environment took me about 2 weeks worth of free time to complete. I really wanted to hit the highest fidelity I could with this environment, and while some things could have been pushed further I'm still overall happy with the way things turned out overall.

My overall goal for this environment visually was to create a lush forest that is very heavily detailed while still maintaining strong clarity. I also didn't want to create a regular old forest but wanted to do one in my own unique style in creating spaces that are almost hyper realistic, a bit over the top but not out of the realm of realism.

A few of the visual features used in this video that may not be as obvious:
- Screen Space GI
- Heavy use of Decals, water running down cliff sides/rocks, and little mud paths on some of the downward slopes.
- Contact Shadows to get very defined shadows on small objects like clovers.
- Tessellation on landscape to really make small stones/details feel more realistic.
- Volumetric fog to get realistic shadow casting on fog as well as a shader to give it some volume/noise.

All art assets used in this video are from the Unreal Marketplace/MegaScans. While assets were taken from the marketplace they were all heavily edited to fit a specific art style Only a few things like the water running down the rocks and a few of the VFX/volumetric fog were created by me.

The Music used in this video is from the games Oblivion, and Icewind Dale

I had a lot of fun creating this one and hope to do a few more scenes using these assets going forward!
