When returning to a puzzle that you've set aside for a couple of weeks, it can be tricky to decide exactly how much you want to remind yourself of what your past actions were. On the one hand, reviewing your actions in multi-step puzzles can help you save time, reminding yourself of important concepts or caveats that you discovered the first time around, and giving yourself back the context you need to work with it. On the other, if you re-read too many of your old ideas, you could fall prey to your own bad assumptions that prevented you from solving the puzzle the first time around.

Ultimately, the decision is personal and arbitrary for each case, but whatever the choice, one must always carefully observe the puzzle and consider the facts as they are.
