Red Dead Redemption 2 The Spines of America Part 7
Start this mission by approaching Hosea nearby Emerald Ranch - it should be marked on your map when you’re able to start it. Hosea will be talking to a prospective new associate named Seamus. He wants you to steal a nice stagecoach from his cousin - by marriage. Head up to the next marker on your map. It’s by Carmody Dell. You’ll be leading Hosea, so make sure not to go too fast, or you’ll have to double back to reconnect with him… you also can’t stop to hunt or do anything, or you’ll Fail the quest. Once you’re close enough, Hosea will say to continue on foot. Follow him, then check the home out with binoculars. You can choose to go during the day, or at night. Either way, there isn’t much of a difference. Follow these instructions regardless.
While Hosea distracts the owners during the day, or goes to get the stagecoach at night, circle around to the back of the house to the left and enter the back door there on the south side. In the next room, there’s a chest straight ahead, and a Cigarette Card on the windowsill to the left of the fireplace. There may also be bourbon or produce on the table here. Make sure to search the perimeter and take everything. After collecting $45 worth of stuff, you can meet Hosea outside and leave, successfully completing the mission, but not completing the Gold Medal requirements, nor finding the most valuable stash - in the kitchen of all places. There’s $150 underneath the fire place in the kitchen. There’s also an apple and carrot on the counter. Upstairs, search the cabinet, making sure to also check the drawers and chest. Now leave the house. If it’s daytime, head out the door you came in through, and make a right and head to the barn. The barn doors are on the east side of the building. Get into the stagecoach inside and wait for Hosea. Once inside, leave the barn and go back to Seamus.
If it’s nighttime, leave through the front doors and jose Hosea in the stagecoach. Returning the coach ends the mission, and unlocks Seamus as a fence who will buy stolen stagecoaches. Next up in this Walkthrough is Pouring Forth Oil. Talk to John at camp to complete part one and start part two of the Pouring Forth Oil mission. Uncle has told him about the prospective train heist, which you learned about during Polite Society, Valentine Style. He has a grand idea of smothering the train tracks in oil to make the driver stop. After speaking with him, two oil tankard carriers will be marked on your map.Because this will be vehicle theft, it'll be best to steal the one further to the east, because you don’t want our bounty to increase in Valentine. Hop over the fence directly behind the carriage and you’ll have a few moments before someone starts shooting. Get in the carriage, and then make a hard right to make your getaway. Alternatively, you can kill everyone here first, but the above method is simpler and faster. After making the hard right, and getting out of the factory area, make a b-line to the meeting area on your map. You can run over anyone shooting at you, but if you get too many shots taken to the tank, it’ll explode, and you’ll fail the mission - so it’s better to take care of them before they get positioned behind you. Getting the oil barrel to the designated drop off point will end Part 1 of Pouring Forth Oil.
Now head back to camp and talk to John to start and complete, Pouring Forth Oil Part 3. You’ll have to wait for him to get to the next meeting point. While you wait, you can do the quest A Fisher of Men to help pass time, or just wait at camp overnight to wait for the marker to appear.
