Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - item using glitches
Just a few interesting results of using items while doing other things.
0:00 - using binoculars while doing normal lassoing. Marston's legs get stuck in a strange pose, and he can only rotate around his axis. He also sinks quite deep in walls with this, but this seems to only be a graphical thing. There are at least two different variations in the leg pose, maybe depending on the timing, and both are shown.
0:42 - instantly after doing this, jump without pressing to any direction near a climbable wall. Marston tries to put away his lasso as the climbing starts, causing him to glitchily appear inside the ground or high in the air, depending on where you pushed left analog stick. But then the game automatically puts him on the wall, so this trick probably can't be used to go through ground or anything.
2:06 - watching risque pictures after starting to throw a dynamite. "Let's make this interesting" indeed! Pressing dead eye during the item using animation causes the dynamite to fly off to some direction. Using binoculars here gives the most interesting result: it looks like Marston puts the dynamite away and everything is normal with him. But the fuse continues burning in his pocket as long as he is handling the binoculars! You can run and it looks and sounds like you are not carrying a dangerous lit explosive with you.
3:21 - after messing around with this for a while, these glitch items appeared in the room. It looks like a wall formed out of haphazard, exploded items.
3:48 - trying to put all this to some use, like trying to explode a dynamite in a controlled way in the middle of a jump, allowing some cool damage boosting perhaps. Still a work in progress... (perhaps permanently!) Not very useful clips, but at least the first looks cool and the second has an audio glitch too, so relish that.
