Wanted to try my hand at this level again.

At the beginning of the level, you can start running quicker by starting to tilt analog stick at the same time gameplay starts. This gives you a faster running animation, and it can be sped up further by pressing strafe very quickly - you get to full running speed instantly. (note: the fastest I've hit the cutscene is 03.63, but that is extremely rare.)

None of this works at the top of the stairs, but I think you can get to full speed quicker by crouching for a moment and then starting running again. I don't have objective certainty on if it is faster or not, but it would seem that way.

I like to pick the weapon up near the middle of the corridor, without having the character turn towards the weapon at all. Don't know if that saves any time.

To me it seems that this three-hit combo is faster than a running attack and two normal hits. You can examine the door quicker by holding to a direction after the last attack. It needs a lot of luck to not get hit by either enemy here.

The door could be examined slightly quicker - that is probably the single reason why this run isn't as fast as the records.
